- Immune & Respiratory Health: Colds, Flu, Cough, Allergies
- Detoxification & Glutathione Synthesis
- Antioxidants
Feature Ingredients
- NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) – helps to thin mucus and has shown clinical benefit for individuals with COPD and pulmonary fibrosis.1,2 NAC has also been shown to attenuate symptoms of influenza-like infection, increase glutathione levels, inhibit activation of the inflammatory NF-κB pathway and modulate immune function.3,4,5
-
The natural enzyme bromelain is included to reduce inflammation. Other complementary herbs include marshmallow, Mullen, wild cherry, horehound and ivy to support respiratory health.

$details$
Inspir-Action provides a potent combination of nutrients and botanicals to provide symptom relief and improve respiratory function.
- Provides mucolytic, demulcent and antitussive action for relief of cough, bronchitis, sinusitis, congestion and other respiratory conditions
- Respiratory formula with unique combination of botanicals and nutrients designed to reduce symptoms and restore function
- Clinically relevant dosages of each active ingredient
- NAC also increases glutathione levels, a key antioxidant in lung tissues
- N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is a well established mucolytic with the ability to break disulfide bonds, and has shown clinical benefit for individuals with COPD and pulmonary fibrosis.1,2 NAC has also been shown to attenuate symptoms of influenza-like infection, increase glutathione levels, inhibit activation of the inflammatory NF-κB pathway and modulate immune function.3,4,5
- Proteolytic enzymes can also lower the viscosity of mucous secretions, and in a randomized trial bromelain reduced symptoms of acute sinusitis in children more effectively than standard therapy.6
- Marshmallow is widely used for cough and soothing of irritated mucous membranes, with mucilaginous and bioadhesive effects attributed to polysaccharides extracted from the root.7
- English ivy extract increases beta-2-adrenergic bronchial activity, relaxing smooth bronchial musculature and increasing surfactant factors and has proven an effective treatment for acute bronchitis.8
- Extracts of mullein, wild cherry and horehound similarly have a long history of use for various respiratory tract pathologies, complementing this formula with a unique combination of demulcent, emollient, expectorant and antitussive properties to provide symptom relief.9

Contraindications
Do not use if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients, pregnant or breast-feeding.
Caution
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking any medications (especially anticoagulants/blood thinners, anti-inflammatory agents, antibiotics, nitroglycerin, hypoglycemic drugs), or if you have any pre-existing condition including but not limited to: autoimmune disorder, bleeding disorder, gastrointestinal lesions/ulcers, cystinuria, kidney or liver disease. Discontinue this product 2 weeks prior to surgery.
Although NAC may reduce nitroglycerin tolerance and improve its efficacy for unstable angina, severe headaches and hypotension may occur. NAC may also reduce the capacity of activated charcoal to absorb acetaminophen. Bromelain may increase the concentration of several antibiotics and should be used with caution in patients on anticoagulants. Marshmallow may have a hypoglycemic effect, and should be used with caution with antidiabetic medications.
Side Effect Risks
Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist, worsen or you develop any reactions which may include: allergy or intolerance, digestive (nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea).
