An easy to use supplement to complement your health.

  • Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring sand extracted from the earth that consists of microscopic skeletons of algae (plankton)  – known as diatoms that have fossilized over millions of years in fresh water lakes. These pure deposits are mined and ground into a fine white powder that is naturally high in silica (80-90%), other trace minerals and small amounts of iron oxide.1,2
  • There are two main types of diatomaceous earth: food-grade which can be used therapeutically and filter grade, which is inedible but has many industrial uses. Silica exits in two main forms, non-crystalline (amorphous) and crystalline. Food-grade diatomaceous earth is low in crystalline silica (0.5–2% crystalline silica) making it safe for human consumption while the filter-grade type is high in crystalline silica (up to 60% crystalline silica) and is not safe for human consumption.
  • When taken by mouth, diatomaceous earth may help high cholesterol, digestion, constipation, and for improving the health of skin, nails, teeth, bones, and hair.
  • Early research suggests taking diatomaceous earth might reduce levels of cholesterol in the blood patients with high cholesterol levels.3
